24. SMILE: My 120 Pound Journey

Sometimes, habit takes over. Yeah, it’s easier to do what is easy – no shit sherlock – but it goes deeper than that, because we aren’t just being lazy, we’re being cowardly. We’re shying away from what we really want in case it doesn’t work out. It’s just that way you end up staying safe but boring for the rest of your life, instead of surprising (even if not always in a good way.)

This guy took safe and boring, and smashed them in the face with a hammer. And when I watch him, I want to do the same. Except not running – that just makes me go pinker than a pink thing in pinksville and gives me stitch that makes my chin hurt. But something that would look equally awesome when shown with a Coldplay song playing in the background.
